I lived off of his books in elementary school… I’d go so far as to say I actually did learn a thing or two from them. But looking back… yeeeeah. He’s an alright cartoonist. It’s when he tries to mimic anime like this that it turns to shit. Sadly those books of his sold millions and only fueled his desire to keep up that sad act, and kicked off that ridiculous trend of “LEARN TO DRAW REAL JAPANESE MANGA” books from countless others.
His comment here shocked me, really. Seems he’s developed quite an ego… and, if I may be so bold, an unwarranted one. Not to mention an attitude problem. And thus, my respect for him goes even further downhill.
This fool is such a joke.
I actually learned anatomy from one of Chris Hart’s books (“Drawing Cutting Edge Comics” - I think it was a gift from my father) when I was younger. And now I feel absolutely ashamed.
His egotistical attitude is something the art world does not need.
Moffat: I find every time watching this, in the edits and the temp versions and everything, the surging of the music and the unbeatable logic of it, it just makes me cry every time. I think it’s fantastic. Lara: It’s where you really see the mirror of the two them. Moffat: [Sherlock leans into Irene] That’s not in the script. Was that you Benedict? Benedict: That was my idea. Because I like the idea of him being in shadow, because it’s such a dark thing he’s playing with: deconstructing love into pure chemistry. Lara: And this just broke my heart. Moffat: No, it’s horrible. The idea is that you should start the scene hating her and end it hating him.
