mintymu:
This is the Dave Strider / Knight of Time themed timepiece i made for khristmasgraph’s (kindergraph) birthday.
It’s hand cast resin set in a pocket watch body. It’s not functioning as the parts are just suspended in resin, but then again time doesn’t mean much in a linear sense in homestuck anyway. The hands are frozen at 4:13 (ΘεΘ;)
(Innocent (but also broken) clocks were sacrificed in the making of this gift.)
bitterkiwi:
made a mutie pillow today with fabric left over from my moirail’s scalemate \u/ (which i don’t actually have a good picture of atm)
this was much more simple than the scalemate but i did the pattern myself and i feel like my sewing is getting much better. wish i’d put a little more stuffing in though.
sewing is really fun and relaxing, i want to do it more often!!

Applique for Ancestor Costumes
yaexrae:
The most common question I get when I wear my ancestor costumes at cons is how I sewed on the colored details, so I figured I’d write a little about it. Below the cut I’ve covered my process from supplies, pattern drafting, cutting and ironing, and the stuff that requires actual sewing. I hope this helps someone!

I took more progress shots of my Mindfang costume, but not enough to make this tutorial, so I’ll be filling in stuff with some Dolorosa pictures too. Just in case you’re wondering why the fabric colors switch a lot.

Homestuck Cherub Cupcakes!
I made these little things for a Fancy!stuck meetup my friends were having. (I was Fancy Jane.) We had a wonderful time, and I hope everybody enjoyed eating these. They were a bit of work for someone as inexperienced as me, but I think they turned out decent at least. Calliope looked cute in my opinion! Um, anyways, enjoy!

Guys, it’s hard.
Painting mugs and using underglaze.
It’s hard and nobody understands.
arcticfritillary:
Hand-sewn, hand-painted. Felt fabric. Tulip matte black paint. Painted the buttons white with nail polish.
I am totally nuts.

I made Homestuck shoes!
A pair of white pumps, black and white laces, and a bunch of Sharpies= this.
The pictures consist of Skaia, LOHAC, LOLAR, LOFAF, LOWAS, and Calliope’s world. I had so much fun making these!

Since you all have 8een so patient in w8ing, here are the alpha kids god-tier sym8ols.
Note a8out Void: Directions!
Now you don’t have to worry about getting the spacing right!
Cut out the Void symbol, leave the “dream-catcher” in. when you put it on your shirt/cosplay of choice, iron around the outside arms first. Once those are down, carefully finish cutting out the center piece, leaving the void arms an equal distance from each other. Good luck!!!!!!!!

SO YEAH.
when I took a fashion accessories class in the spring we learned how to make fabric-based pins and awhile later I came up with this super precious idea for a Wayward Vagabond pin. I just haven’t done anything with it until now, and ended up slapping together Aimless Renegade and Peregrine Mendicant ones to go with it.
lag-bolt:
Ah man guys, remember my majora’s mask project?? This was the other big project of the class. And of course it ended up being homestuck.
It took SO LONG TO DO. Mosaic is just so boring. Cutting and gluing and cutting and gluing. But I’m super proud of this. I have the original picture up there so you can tell what’s going on, in case it’s hard to see the picture on my project….
EDIT: Uh you guys have no idea how big it is. Ok it is like 1 by 2 feet. Kind of large-ish.
